Toyota USA Foundation Grants $4 Million to California State University, Dominguez Hills to Prepare Students in Southern California for STEM Careers
TORRANCE, Calif., Feb. 28, 2017 – Toyota USA Foundation and California State University, Dominguez Hills announced today that together they will tackle workforce readiness issues head-on, creating a new Toyota Center for Innovation in STEM Education (Toyota Center) to inspire learning for students from kindergarten through college.

San Diego, CA (June 26, 2014) – As many as 300 new higher education scholarships will be created for children of Marines and Navy Corpsmen over the next five years as a result of an additional $1.35 million contribution from Toyota to the Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation, the nation’s oldest and largest provider of need-based scholarships for military children. Toyota has supported the Scholarship Foundation since 2004, and today’s gift brings Toyota’s total investment in the Foundation to more than $3 million.

Toyota and Discovery Education Celebrate Teachers and Students for their Creativity in Promoting Teen Driver Safety
SILVER SPRING, Md. (May 4, 2011) – Toyota and Discovery Education announced today the winners of the Toyota Teen Driver Video Challenge and Toyota Teen Driver Educators’ Challenge, the nation’s premier teen safe driving challenges. Winners will receive a variety of cash and prizes, such as $20,000, a Toyota Driving Expectations event and virtual driving simulators. These Challenges are part of Toyota and Discovery Education’s joint program, Toyota Teen Driver, which provides educators, parents and students with comprehensive lesson plans, take-home resources, an interactive game and more to help avoid distractions while driving and stay safe behind the wheel.
